Grand Séminaire de Montréal

The Grand Séminaire de Montréal, owned by the priests of the Saint Sulpician order, opens its doors to let Montrealers and tourists alike discover this oasis of history in the heart of Montréal, the estate of the Fort de la montagne.

This summer, discover on Mount Royal, in the midst of downtown Montreal, a true gem of the city’s heritage: a historical site recounting a largely unknown episode of the early days of the city.

  • Learn about the history of the Fort de la montagne towers, classified as historic monuments since 1974.
  • Visit the gardens, the basin and the Chapel of the Grand Seminary of Montreal.
  • Discover the historic role of the priests of the Saint Sulpician order in the development of Montréal.
  • Attend concerts at the Chapel during the Organ Festival in October.

Discover Montréal’s oldest buildings, the towers of the ancient Fort de la montagne.
