Don’t miss this year’s Mountain Clean-Up with Les amis de la montagne on Sunday morning, May 7. This ritual springtime event is an opportunity for locals and visitors to share in the care and conservation of Mount Royal. Dedicate your morning to collecting litter and recyclables on the mountain or monitoring previously planted saplings, an essential step in maintaining the mountain’s biodiversity. The event will take place rain or shine.
Advance registration via EventBrite is mandatory as the number of participants in the Mountain Clean-Up is limited. All registered participants must confirm their arrival at Mount Royal Chalet before 9:15 a.m. on May 7 or their places will be reassigned to last-minute registrants.
8:45 am – Registrant confirmation at Mount Royal Chalet. / Distribution of the official Mountain Clean-Up T-shirt.
9:15 am –Assignment of remaining places to last-minute registrants.
9:30 am – Word of welcome / Team departures for Clean-Up with a group leader.
12:30 pm – Complimentary lunch for registrants with their team leader.
Les amis de la montagne is also holding separate Clean-Up Events for school groups on Friday, May 5, and special-interest groups on Saturday, May 6. The Mountain Clean-Up launches the 2017 edition of May 2016: Mount Royal Month. Developed by Les amis de la montagne, Mount Royal Month is organised jointly with the Ville de Montréal. This event is generously supported by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. It is also supported by the STM (Silver Partner) and Journal Métro (Medias partner).
