Les amis de la montagne is pleased to offer a unique day camp in Mount Royal Park. Children from 5 to 10 years of age are invited to spend one or two weeks discovering the emblematic mountain adjacent to downtown Montreal. They will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, immersed in a unique natural setting, under the supervision of qualified educators.
On February 16, 2017, Les amis de la montagne hosts the 20th edition of its wintertime signature fundraiser, the Tuques Bleues Celebration.
In the past few years, recreational snowshoeing has grown in popularity throughout the province, including on Mount Royal! The peace and quiet of the forest, the wonderful views of the city, and the grade of the slopes which provide the occasional challenge even for the more athletic, make our mountain an ideal place for snowshoers.
Les amis de la montagne is thrilled with Mount Royal’s application to be considered for inclusion on Canada’s Tentative List for World Heritage Sites. This is the first step towards Mount Royal’s possible recognition as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mount Royal is probably one of the most romantic places in Montreal, so why not celebrate Valentine’s Day in this magical place? Les amis de la montagne offers three snowshoeing outings to make it a very special event for families or sweethearts.

On Friday and Saturday evenings through March 4, Les amis de la montagne invites you to go on a snowshoe excursion at nightfall to discover or rediscover the wonders of Mount Royal Park.
The first phase of an important landscaping project designed by the City of Montréal, undertaken to build the missing part of a footpath linking the park’s main staircase to the Kondiaronk Belvedere and the Mount Royal Chalet, is now complete.
Starting on January 6, Les amis de la montagne invites you to lace up your skates and sway your hips to the music on the Beaver Lake ice skating rink.
