Les amis de la montagne adopted a new approach for carrying out the 25th edition of its Mountain Clean Up, the annual Corvée du Mont-Royal. It held three separate days of environmental conservation activities rather than one, thus covering a larger area, in addition to better harnessing the capabilities of each participating group.

Les amis de la montagne was created 30 years ago today, on April 1st, 1986. Over the past three decades, we have endeavoured to protect and enhance the place Montrealers affectionately call ‘our mountain’, the landmark green space that defines the heart of our city: Mount Royal.

Montrealers are invited to take part in the annual Mountain Clean Up organised by Les amis de la montagne on Sunday, May 1st. This ritual springtime event is an opportunity for the public to contribute to the care and conservation of Mount Royal!
Every year, Les amis de la montagne benefit from the help of hundreds of volunteers involved in different projects regarding Mount Royal’s protection and enhancement, and contributing in their own way to Les amis’ mission.

Les amis de la montagne are pleased to partner with Heritage Montreal to mark the UNESCO International Day for Monuments and Sites, held under the theme "The heritage of sport”.
Les amis de la montagne is pleased to offer for an 8th year a summer day camp in Mount Royal Park. Children of 5 to 10 years of age are invited to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and discoveries on Mount Royal, under the supervision of qualified educators.
From February 26 to March 7, Les amis de la montagne offers a full slate of activities to enjoy winter for free or for a friendly price.

After the race... A gourmet Food Feast for the Benefit of Mount Royal!
People have been snowshoeing across Mount Royal for centuries. First developed by Aboriginals, snowshoeing was adopted by Montrealers who, in 1840, created the Montreal Snowshoe Club.
For reasons beyond our control, changes have been made to the programme of activities planned in the Beaver Lake sector of Mount Royal Park.
To enjoy the wonders of wintertime without driving kilometers, there's only one place to go: Mount Royal. Snowshoeing is a winter tradition one the mountain, first performed by Aboriginal and popularized with the creation of the Montreal Snowshoe Club in 1840. Come out and hit our snowshoeing trails, with or without a guide!
To perfect your technique or acquire the basics of cross-country skiing, The Club de ski de fond des Amis de la montagne offers lessons for young and old alike on Mount Royal this winter.
A pilot-project for youth 3-8 years of age.
A week of sliding, skating, playing in the snow and in the forest and much more!
Enjoy a family activity on the mountain this winter.
This winter, rediscover Mount Royal during snowshoe excursions animated by a guide from Les amis de la montagne : night hikes City Lights Snowshoe Excursion, Valentine's Day on Snowshoes family outing and group snowshoe treks, custom-designed for 15 people or more.
Due to present weather conditions, snow tubing slides will not open before the weekend of January 16-17. Further information forthcoming.
