ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM – LAST CALL
We’re preparing the “Mont Royal tree nursery” for winter!

In collaboration with the Société de Verdissement du Montréal Métropolitain (Soverdi) and the Université de Montréal, Les amis de la montagne participated in a pilot project in 2011 designed to educate young students about the biodiversity of the mountain and the importance of its forests. The students collected seeds from Mont-Royal Park, planted them and observed their growth.

The plants are currently at the Soverdi tree nursery on the Université de Montréal campus and Les amis are calling on volunteers to evaluate the health of the plants, take an inventory of each species and prepare the plants for the winter season. The plants will continue to be cared for at the tree nursery until they are ready to be replanted.
  • Saturday, October 6
  • From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Meet at the Université de Montréal metro station on the blue line.
  • Pre-registration is appreciated, but not mandatory
