Les Amis contributes a chapter to "Rêver Montréal, 101 idées pour relancer la métropole"

Les amis de la montagne’s Executive Director Sylvie Guilbault, dreams about a Mount Royal that maintains public access beyond the park...

In his blog “Quel avenir pour Montréal?” La Presse editorialist François Cardinal asked public personalities to describe their ideal Montréal by suggesting what the city needs most. His new book released on September 9, “Rêver Montréal, 101 idées pour relancer la métropole” is a collection of blog contributions written by 80 Montreal personalities from diverse backgrounds and different generations. They looked at the city in all its aspects to evaluate the challenges it faces and to propose innovative solutions.

Sylvie Guilbault, Executive Director of Les amis de la montagne, offered an article titled “Pour un mont Royal vert et accessible” that underlines the importance of retaining the mountain’s public character beyond the park – a timely topic given the imminent changes in vocation of the large institutions on the flanks of the mountain that historically provide access to citizens on their grounds.
