By invitation from the Canadian Olympic Committee, Les amis de la montagne and a secondary one class from École FACE participated in the announcement concerning the Canadian Olympic bobsleigh team selection for the Sochi games in 2014.

By invitation from the Canadian Olympic Committee, Les amis de la montagne and a secondary one class from École FACE (Formation Artistique au Cœur de l’Éducation / Fine Arts Core Education) participated in the announcement concerning the Canadian Olympic bobsleigh team selection for the Sochi games in 2014, held at the Chalet du Mont-Royal on December 16.

Sandra Sassine, a two-time Olympian who was ranked in the top 20 at the London Games in fencing, and who is now in charge of promoting Olympic values in schools for the Canadian Olympic Committee, greeted the students from FACE and made sure they were able to meet the athletes to obtain photos and autographs.

After a most rousing ceremony, the students, who braved Siberian weather to participate in the announcement, went skating at Beaver Lake – an effort of Olympic proportion!
