The Société de développement touristique de Côte-des-Neiges is working on a tourism development plan in order to raise the profile of the neighbourhood as an international showcase.

The Société de développement touristique is planning on creating catalytic projects over the next four years that serve as an engine for economic growth for this important artery. The Société intends to work in close collaboration with public authorities, institutions, residents, social and community groups in order to improve the accessibility and attractiveness of the neighbourhood, enhance the image of the neighbourhood as an international showcase and retain the tourists and students on its territory.

According to the socio-demographic profile produced by the Ville de Montréal, the Côte-des-Neiges borough has the highest population in Montreal and houses more than 165,000 inhabitants, or 10% of the city’s total population. Saint-Joseph’s Oratory of Montreal, the Université de Montréal and Mount Royal Park are focal points of attraction that draw thousands of people each year to the Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges.

Les amis de la montagne’s objectives to improve the management and accessibility of the mountain join those of developing the tourist value of Mount Royal Park and the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. Les amis are therefore, pleased to provide support to the Société de développement touristique de Côte-des-Neiges in their tourism development plan.
