ARTIST RESIDENCE AT MAISON SMITH

Artist Patrick Bérubé will be in residence at Maison Smith. In his work, Patrick Bérubé plays with space and places to divert appearances, question, provoke and entertain. For him, the stone imposes itself as the material and symbol of Mount Royal. Thus, this collective public art will be built in the likeness of the rock strata of the mountain, and reveal layers of stories and feelings in reflection of its inspiration, Mount Royal.

COLLECTIVE PUBLIC ART CREATION WITH THE ARTIST

To begin his residence as part of the Journées de la culture, artist Patrick Bérubé invites those interested to become co-authors of the artwork. For four days, visitors will discover the work of the artist and participate in the creation of his work. Through images of the year 1964, they will be asked to redo the layers of history that accumulate in the strata, like geological layers of the mountain and monoliths of the Symposium.

  • On Saturdays, September 27, October 4, 11 and 18
  • From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • At Maison Smith
