THE WESTMOUNT MOUNTAIN: ACHIEVEMENTS AND FUTURE PROJECTS

Follow-up to the Mount Royal Summit: the protection of the natural environment, accessibility and governance

Les amis de la montagne invite you to a guided walk of the Westmount portion of Mount Royal to discover past achievements and future projects. Three areas will be highlighted:

  1. Remembrance-Côte-des-Neiges interchange: presentation of the project to reconfigure the interchange and recognition of Côte-des-Neiges as a designated heritage trail.
  2. Ville-Marie’s public works lot: site visit and discussion with a representative from Ville-Marie, Claude Dubois, chef de division / voirie, on the site’s operations.
  3. Summit Woods: management principles for the protection of the natural environment and enhancement of Mount Royal. Presentation by Duncan E. Campbell, executive director of the City of Westmount.

Take note that we will be climbing up towards the Westmount summit and will occasionally take smaller, wooded pathways. We strongly recommend sturdy walking shoes or boots.

For those with limited mobility, please contact us in advance in order to obtain the meeting points accessible by car.
