Discover Mount Royal's new public art work!

Saturday October 18 : Inauguration of a collective art work with Patrick Bérubé, artist in residence at Maison Smith

To mark the 50th anniversary of the first international Sculpture Symposium in North America, Les amis de la montagne in collaboration with the Bureau d'art public of the Ville de Montréal, invited artist Patrick Bérubé to produce a co-creation art work with the public, within it's residence at Maison Smith.

In his work, Patrick Bérubé plays with space and places to divert appearances, question, provoke and entertain. For him, the stone imposes itself as the material and symbol of Mount Royal. Thus, this collective public art will be built in the likeness of the rock strata of the mountain, and reveal layers of stories and feelings in reflection of its inspiration, Mount Royal.
