Tree Day Celebrations with Les amis de la montagne

Les amis de la montagne invites you to participate in its special event "Tree Day Celebrations with Les amis de la montagne" on September 26 & 27! 

Explore the ecosystems of the urban forest; meet with experts passionate about making urban spaces greener and the preservation of Mount Royal’s biodiversity; take part in tree planting activities or choose a tree to take home to beautify your environment!

Saturday, September 26 FROM 11 AM TO 4 PM 

AT SOVERDI’S TREE NURSERY 

Educational scavenger hunt and games, tree giveaway, information booths promoting projects dedicated to sustainable development, tree seeds, biodiversity conservation and issues related to the emerald ash borer, etc. A wide range of activities will allow you to explore the tree nursery designed by the Société de verdissement du Montréal métropolitain (SOVERDI) at the Outremont site of the University of Montréal. You will learn more about innovative and inspiring ecological projects! 

Free access • Meeting point: Outremont site of University of Montréal, in front of the 400, Atlantic Avenue, Outremont (access via Beaubien Street West).

Sunday, September 27 FROM 11 AM TO 4 PM 

AT THE MOUNT ROYAL CHALET 

Eager to learn about Montreal’s urban forest and to discover our tree planting projects? To take a hike on the mountain? This fun-filled day will combine information booths, tree planting activities and guided hiking tours in the forest; it will satisfy your ecological curiosity and your desire to act for both the beautification of the mountain and the preservation of its biodiversity.
