Register Now in Our Youth Cross-Country Ski Program on Mount Royal

2017-10-03

The heatwave may only be a few days ago, but the registration period has already begun for Les amis de la montagne’s Youth Cross-Country Ski Program starting next January.

Designed for children ages 4 to 15, our cross-country ski program takes advantage of 22 km of groomed trails in Montréal’s Mount Royal Park to introduce boys and girls to the pleasures of skiing right here in the city! Kids of all levels learn techniques and hone their skills while enjoying Mount Royal’s beautiful natural habitats in the wintertime with experienced instructors.

Starting on January 6, the seven-week program takes place in the park on Saturdays or Sundays through February 25. To make sure your child is in the right group, an additional evaluation lesson is planned at the beginning of the program.

If your child doesn’t have the necessary equipment, no problem, you can rent it from our outdoor equipment rental service for the whole session.

The Club de ski de fond des Amis de la montagne Youth Cross-Country Skiing Program is certified by Ski de fond Québec and includes the following levels:

  • Jeannot Lapin: 4-5 year olds
  • Jackrabbit: 6-9 year olds – Levels 1 to 4
  • Explorateurs: 9-15 year olds - Beginner Level 1
  • Explorateurs: 9-15 year olds - Beginner Level 2
  • Piste: 9-15 years old - Advanced Level

Please note that ski lessons are conducted in French.
