Join Les amis de la montagne on a remarkable trail that follows the streams from the mountain to the river. An invitation to retrace the historic, geographic and cultural links between Mount Royal and the St-Lawrence River.
*Les amis de la montagne have partnered with the Centre d'histoire de Montréal to offer the guided walks at a reduced price, as well as a discount at the Centre d’histoire to discover the exhibit “La face cachée de la montagne”. An anniversary exhibit created by the Université de Montréal to showcase the heritage of the northern slope of Mount Royal. (Valid until April 13, 2014)
NEW EXHIBITION AT THE CHALET DU MONT-ROYAL "A LOOKOUT ON HISTORY"
Set in its foundation of majestic rock, the Mount Royal lookout casts a view towards the city and the river, a silent witness to Montreal’s evolution and defining moments in history through time.
Following extensive research of archival photographs and documents, Les amis de la montagne present an original exhibit that reveals the history of the mountain lookout, the Chalet du Mont-Royal and the 150-year evolution of the panoramic view towards the city below.
Daily, from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
