In this original performance she calls Souffle, Mathilde Heuzé presents a choreography created in situ inspired by the idyllic setting of the Mount Royal Chalet. Using a gymnastics ribbon, she conjures shapes across the open space that call to mind the mountain and its role as the city’s green lungs.
She is accompanied on the flute by Jérémy Chignec. Musical composition by Jean-Christophe Lalonde.
The performance lasts approximately 10 minutes and is presented three times between 3 and 4 p.m.
A graduate of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, Mathilde Heuzé is originally from Rouen, France, where she obtained her degree in music and dance. A former rhythmic gymnast, she has developed her own unique fluid and dynamic style.
