Winter Activities for Groups

Treat friends or colleagues to a unique winter experience on Mount Royal thanks to our guided snowshoe excursions during the day or under the stars. Top off your expedition with hot chocolate, mulled wine or a meal in one of the park’s spectacular venues before setting off on another great outdoor adventure with your crew, such as snow tubing or skating at Beaver Lake.
From December to March, Monday through Thursday, Les amis de la montagne organizes snowshoe excursions for groups of 15 or more wishing to discover and appreciate Mount Royal’s natural beauty in winter.

Our guided snowshoe excursions may be scheduled during the day or evening and tailored to your group’s interests and needs.

City Lights

Duration: 2 hours

This exceptional evening snowshoe trek takes participants through Mount Royal’s snow-laden forest, with stops to enjoy breathtaking views of the city.

Mountain in the City

Duration: 2 hours

A daytime excursion along the snowy paths in the woodlands lets participants admire the mountain’s beautiful winter landscapes.

Les amis de la montagne welcomes groups of all sizes to Mount Royal! Please note that rates apply to parties of 15 persons or more.

Guided snowshoe excursions are $20 per person, with the possibility of adding seasonal extras such as:
  • Hot chocolate: + $2 per person
  • Mulled wine: + $8 per person

All activities are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.

Make Mount Royal the pick of your bunch this winter! There’s no lack of things for groups to do in the park once the weather turns cold:
  • Tobogganing or snow tubing on groomed slopes
  • Cross-country skiing (22 km of trails)
  • Skating at Beaver Lake
No gear? No problem. You can rent snow tubes, skis, snowshoes, skates and other sports equipment for activities in the park at our rental desk. Advance booking is required for groups. .
There’s nothing like playing outdoors to work up one’s appetite! Gather the gang in any of our three Café des Amis outposts in the park for tasty treats and refreshments after your activity.

For groups wishing to mix business with pleasure, we also provide the possibility of renting a conference room in the historical Smith House.
