Guided Excursion: The Mount Royal Summit

During a hike through the mountain’s iconic places, students will discover the many facets of Mount Royal, including its history, biodiversity and striking views.

During a walk through the mountain’s iconic areas, students discover the many facets of Mount Royal, including its history, biodiversity and striking views. Activities include interpreting the landscape, learning about the mountain's important place in history and identifying its flora and fauna.

Meeting point: Parking lot at Beaver Lake Pavilion, 2000 Remembrance Road, Montreal, Quebec, H3H 1X2

Age group | Grade: Ages 14 to 17 - Secondary cycle 2

Duration and rate | Fall and spring:

  • 2h | $12 per child (minimum $216)

Duration and rate | Summer:

  • 2h | $12 per child (minimum $216)

Availability:

  • We can accommodate a maximum of 3 groups at the same time in the morning and/or afternoon, each group containing between 20 and 30 children, depending on their age group or grade. 
  • We welcome school and children’s groups from Tuesday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • History and Education: Societal realities and historical perspectives
  • History of Quebec and Canada: Characterizing historical periods and interpreting social realities

Cross-curricular competencies: Exercising critical judgment and using critical thinking skills
