The Paroles de paysages project allows visitors to discover Mount Royal’s natural and cultural heritage from the perspective of three of the mountain’s most iconic sites: the Mount Royal Chalet and Kondiaronk Belvedere, the Beaver Lake Pavilion and Tiohtià:ke Otsira’kéhne Park on the Outremont Summit.

Spearheaded by Les Amis de la montagne with the support of the City of Montréal and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec, the Paroles de paysages project allows visitors to discover Mount Royal’s natural and cultural heritage from the perspective of two of the mountain’s most iconic sites: the Mount Royal Chalet and Tiohtià:ke Otsira’kéhne Park on the Outremont Summit. The initiative’s main objective is to give the public the opportunity to learn more about the important aspects of Mount Royal through various topics such as biodiversity, landscape, architecture, history, the Indigenous presence and conservation.

The kiosk, with its themes highlighting the landscapes, history and culture of Mount Royal, will be set up will be present inside the Kondiaronk Lookout Chalet for the winter.Tiohtià:ke Otsira’kéhne Park on the Outremont Summit and on Olmsted Path near the Chalet on Saturday afternoons.

So, if you happen to be visiting the mountain on any given weekend, don’t forget to stop by the Paroles de paysages kiosk; we promise you’ll leave knowing a lot more about Mount Royal than when you arrived, thanks to the wealth of knowledge our dedicated educators have to share!
