Snowshoe Excursion: The Joy of Winter

During a hike through the mountain’s iconic places, students will discover the many facets of Mount Royal, including its history, biodiversity and striking views.

Equipped with snowshoes, students venture into the heart of Mount Royal’s forest to learn about its biodiversity and the ways in which its flora and fauna adapt to winter. On this educational hike interspersed with challenges and games, students discover a forest that is bursting with life, despite the snow. 

Meeting point: Parking lot at Beaver Lake Pavilion, 2000 Remembrance Road, Montreal, Quebec, H3H 1X2

Age group | Grade: Ages 12 to 17 - Secondary 

Duration and rate:

  • 2h | $15 per child (minimum $270)*

Availability:

  • We can accommodate a maximum of 3 groups at the same time in the morning and/or afternoon, each group containing between 20 and 30 children, depending on their age group or grade. 
  • We welcome school and children’s groups from Tuesday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Subject-specific competencies: 

  • Emphasis is placed on the biodiversity of an urban forest

*Note: The rate includes the snowshoe rental.
