The Legacy of Frederick Law Olmsted: Exploring the Therapeutic Value of Mount Royal

Did you know that Mount Royal Park was created with the health of Montrealers in mind? Learn about the vision of the park’s designer, Frederick Law Olmsted, and discover the legacy of Les Hospitalières, the order of religious hospitallers whose garden remains one of the jewels of the Mount Royal Heritage Site. Starting at the Jardin du monastère des Hospitalières (Cité-des-Hospitalières), the walk will take you up to the Camillien-Houde Lookout via the mountain’s eastern side. Join us and treat yourself with a moment of well-being.

This discovery walk is offered in partnership with the Musée des Hospitalières de l'Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal. As part of your visit and as a pleasant way to extend it, the museum is offering you free admission to its temporary exhibition, Our Mountain. Memories of Mount Royal.
