Things are hopping on the mountain! 

As the first, tender shoots of spring plants like lilies, trilliums and bloodroot begin to emerge from beneath their blanket of snow in the woodlands, migratory birds start to come back from sunny, southern climes, and the warblers, flycatchers and buntings settle in to bring us joy once more. 

Every April, Les Amis de la montagne’s team and volunteers are hard at work, planning the coming months’ environmental stewardship activities and preparing the school programs that will help produce the next generation of protectors of the mountain. 

Our campaign may be drawing to a close, but spring has only just arrived! Help us protect and enhance Mount Royal’s rich, but fragile ecology.
