Planting native trees and shrubs

Since 1994, Les Amis de la montagne has planted over 36,000 native trees and shrubs on Mount Royal to help control the proliferation of buckthorn, support the forest’s natural regeneration process and close unwanted (rogue) footpaths and trails.

As a volunteer, you’ll be asked to participate in the revegetation of some areas in Mount Royal Park. This is a great way to give back to the mountain while learning more about its various plant populations!
