Ambrosia artemisiifolia is the most abundant species of ragweed in Quebec. It is the most common cause of seasonal allergic rhinitis, as well as a major concern and a source of high costs for Quebec’s public health system.
As a volunteer, you’ll be asked to participate in the management and monitoring of common ragweed on the mountain. By helping to pull up the plants, you’ll decrease the species’ presence in the park and improve air quality.
