Welcome Centre at Smith House
Headquarters of Les amis since 1999, Smith House is a popular public gathering place in Mount Royal Park. We manage a welcome desk where visitors have access to comprehensive information on what to see and do in the park. Our free exhibition Mount Royal – A Territory to Discover provides a fascinating introduction to the mountain. Smith House is also home to a gift shop and outdoor café.Find Out More

Our three Café des Amis venues provide park visitors with a place to sit, relax and enjoy good food in a spectacular setting. Located at Smith House, Beaver Lake Pavilion and Mount Royal Chalet, each offers its own signature snacks and menu choices for families, hikers, skiers, skaters, snowshoers and other park users to enjoy.Find Out More

Outdoor Equipment Rentals
Located at the Beaver Lake Pavilion, the equipment rental service operated by Les amis provides skates, cross-country skis, snowshoes, snow tubes and other equipment at hourly rates. In the summer, park visitors can rent rowboats and remote-controlled sailboats for use on Beaver Lake.Find Out More
