Over the past few weeks, a number of Montrealers have taken part in the public consultations concerning the future of the former Royal Victoria Hospital site led by the Office de consultation publique de Montréal. Many of the recommendations put forward fall under the responsibility of the Quebec government. In an open letter published in the daily newspaper La Presse (in French), our organizations joined forces to remind Premier François Legault and Sonia LeBel, Minister and Chair of the Conseil du trésor, that the fundamental issues need to be addressed now to truly support the preservation and rehabilitation of the former Royal Vic site.
