You’re Never Too Old for Les Amis’ Day Camp!

One again this summer, Les Amis de la montagne’s educators will be awakening children to the wonders of nature in iconic Mount Royal Park. But this year, we’ll have activities for older kids too! We’re launching a new Junior Counsellor Program!

If your youngsters have gotten “too old” for day camp but miss those days of friendship and discovery, here’s the perfect opportunity for them to keep the fun going. At the same time, they’ll help create an unforgettable experience for our current campers!

This volunteer activity is for your kids if they:

  • Would like to be part of Les Amis de la montagne’s team of educators one day

  • Dream of a career in a field relating to children (such as teaching or early childhood education)

  • Have an interest in the outdoors and nature and plan to build a career in biology, the environment, outdoor recreation and sports, or other related fields

  • Love nature and want to share their knowledge with our campers

In addition, participants will receive an attestation of volunteer hours worked, which they’ll be able to apply to their high school studies! Ideal candidates will have completed at least Secondary III at the end of the 2022–2023 school year. If you have any questions concerning this program or about our day camp in general, visit our website or email the person in charge of our day camp at campdejour@lemontroyal.qc.ca.
