A broad consensus in this regard has been forged over time and was reinforced more recently by a citizen mobilization of more than 33,000 voices expressing their wish to see the mountain and its civic and institutional heritage inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The constant renewal of this commitment to the mountain should be a formality and a strong signal for the continued improvement of our tools and measures to protect Mount Royal, practices, not just another election issue.

As cofounder of the organization Portrait sonore, this producer/director took on the challenge of raising awareness of the urban forest in Mount Royal Park―and the importance of its tens of thousands of trees―by creating a sound walk entitled À la racine de l’arbre.
