Come discover FeederWatch, a community science project. The program involves identifying and counting the birds seen in Mount Royal Park, helping researchers track their abundance and distribution.
The training includes an indoor presentation, followed by a short outdoor demonstration.
After you’ve followed the training session, you can come back to collect data on Fridays or Saturdays when it is most convenient for you.

The program involves counting and recording the birds seen at feeders in Mount Royal Park, helping researchers track their abundance and distribution. The training includes an indoor presentation, followed by a short outdoor demonstration.
After you’ve followed the training session, you can come back to collect data when it is most convenient for you.

Material and participation criteria:
- All necessary equipment for the bird inventory will be provided, including a limited number of binoculars.
- No prior knowledge is required to participate in these volunteer activities. They are supervised by the conservation team and always include explanations of the objectives, techniques, and safety guidelines.
- The minimum age to participate in this activity is 10 years old.
