Les Amis de la montagne invite you to discover The Mountain at the Heart of Montreal, an outdoor exhibition by the McCord Stewart Museum presented as part of the 150th anniversary of Mount Royal Park.

It offers a sensitive journey through the mountain’s history through photographs from the museum’s collections, displayed in iconic locations throughout the park, from the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Monument to the Kondiaronk Belvedere and Beaver Lake. The exhibition highlights Mount Royal’s central role in the lives and imagination of Montrealers.

Open at all times, it can be explored at your own pace during a visit to the mountain. It is made possible thanks to a donation from Power Corporation of Canada, in partnership with the City of Montreal and with the collaboration of Les Amis de la montagne.

Route: From the monument to Sir George-Étienne Cartier to Beaver Lake, with points of interest near the Smith House and the Kondiaronk lookout chalet.
