Vast green spaces in the city such as the mountain play a vital role in our mental and physical health. Studies have shown that spending as little as 20 minutes in a park provides maximum benefits.

At times like this, Mount Royal is of even greater importance for all Montrealers:
  • We need healthy natural environments to recharge our batteries, revitalize our spirit and inspire us.
  • Since travelling abroad will be postponed in the short and medium term, our urban landscapes will provide a much needed change of scenery.
  • After so many weeks of screen time, our children will need to reconnect with nature more than ever!
We must take care of our local natural environments to better take care of ourselves.

Inspired by the Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon in Central Park NY, this fundraiser brought together engaged citizens and prominent members of the Montréal community for cocktails on the Kondiaronk Lookout and a gourmet meal prepared by Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in the Mount Royal Chalet.

During this elegant benefit luncheon, guests wore their finest hats in support of environmental  education for children and youth on Mount Royal.
