Organized by Les amis de la montagne, this annual contest aims to capture the richness of Mount Royal landscapes and perspectives through photography. This year's theme was “Celebrate Mount Royal!” and the competition attracted both professional and amateur photographers who submitted entries in the following categories:
  • Category 1: Mount Royal, its heritage and history (buildings, monuments, personal archives, etc.)
  • Category 2: Nature at its microscopic or macroscopic level.
  • Category 3: Active on the mountain (sports, leisure, celebrations, etc.)
  • Category 4: The mountain in black and white.
  • Category 5: Youth vision of the mountain (for participants under 18 years old).

Winning photos

Competition was fierce! Les amis de la montagne received more than 400 photos during our contest. We wish to thank all the participants who were able to highlight Mount Royal's beauty through their photos again this year. The Grand Prize was awarded to Raimonda Bieliauskaite for her photo Un reflet dans une porte du Chalet du Mont Royal.

Many other prizes were awarded in different categories. All the winners of the 2017 edition are listed below.
