As part of the Great Backyard Bird Count in February, we are offering two activities.
This bird census hike is intended for observers with a basic knowledge of ornithology.
Are you passionate about birdwatching or curious to discover the winter birdlife of Mount Royal? Join us for the 29th edition of the Great Backyard Bird Count! This global event makes it possible, each winter, to create a snapshot of the state of bird populations. As part of this activity, we will conduct a census of all bird species seen or heard along our route. The data collected will then be shared with the scientific community, alongside those gathered by thousands of other observers around the world.

This guided bird count hike in the woodlands of Mount Royal is open to observers of all levels.
