The rapid pace of our lives can sometimes lead to stress or fatigue. Shinrin Yoku, or “forest bathing,” allows you to let go and unwind while sharing your experience of this precious moment with the other participants. Recently, numerous studies have shown the real health benefits of spending time in nature. In Japan, forest bathing is a common practice. Gain a different perspective on Mount Royal with your group or team during this Shinrin Yoku walk and treat yourself to a moment of wellness through a sensory connection with nature.  

Accompanied by a certified guide, this slow 2-km walk includes opportunities to connect with nature (sensory exploration, contemplation, relaxation, creativity) and to share experiences in small groups.

Several possible starting points: 

  • Park summit, departure from Smith House, 1260 Remembrance Road
  • Foot of Mount Royal Park (east slope), meeting point in front of the little white house at the corner of Mont-Royal and Park avenues
  • Outremont summit woods, north slope (Tiohtià:ke Otsira'kéhne Park), departure from Mont-Royal Boulevard at the corner of Courcelette Avenue in Outremont
