Mount Royal’s North Slope

Who says the mountain ends at the boundaries of Mount Royal Park? Discover the hidden side of the mountain and its institutions through an itinerary that reveals a variety of landscapes, including century-old oak and maple forests. Find out more about the creation of Tiohtià:ke Otsira'kéhne Park, and learn about the mountain's cemeteries and a portion of the Université de Montréal campus.

Please note that this discovery walk includes an uphill climb with stairs along a 3-km route with different starting and end points.

Starting point: Sir George-Étienne Cartier Monument (Mount Royal Park/Parc Avenue)

End point: Côte-des-Neiges metro station

Rate (plus tax): $20 for ages 12 and over

Duration: 2.5 hrs

Distance: Approximately 3 km

This activity is offered in French but questions in English are welcome.
